TWIN FALLS – Travis Lee Teeples (Gray) passed away in his home on Monday, July 13, 2026. He had been fighting many different health issues for many years. He leaves behind a family that loves him very much. His infectious smile and boisterous laugh would always change the mood in the room. He has given his family many fond memories.

Travis was born in Granger, Utah on August 8, 1972, to Sindy Gray and his biological father David Teeples. At a very young age for Travis, Sindy married Roger Gray, who became his dad and raised Travis as his own son. Travis grew up in Rupert, Idaho. Played baseball up to his Freshman year of high school. He graduated from Minico High School. Everyone said he was an amazing baseball player. Travis loved to go fishing. Some great memories of his nieces and nephews were of him taking them out fishing. He absolutely loved camping as well. He loved the outdoors and his beautiful dogs were his life.

Travis then attended college for a short time in Utah. He had worked at many different jobs. He worked for Pepsi, was a firefighter for the BLM (at which he loved), and in 2009 moved to Twin falls, Idaho where he bought a home and made his permanent residence. There he married Janie Zimmerman which later ended in a divorce. Travis worked for Fred Meyers for a few years and enjoyed his time there. After his car accident he was no longer able to work but would do things for his parents for Burgers Etc.

Travis always believed in helping everyone. He had the biggest heart and though he did not like being around large groups of people, he would still make an appearance. Travis will be greatly missed at our family functions and Thanksgiving meals.

Travis was preceded in death by his grandpa, Leland Gray; his grandma, Mary Walter; his biological father, David Teeples; his Grandmother Christoffersen; and Aunt Mary Dotsen.

He is survived by his parents, Roger and Sindy Gray, his siblings, Kristen (Bob Robison) Hardy, Rick (Amber Gray), and Dawn (BJ) Leonard; as well as his aunts and uncles; and many nieces and nephews that all loved him very much.

Thank you for your love and support from all our family and friends through this difficult time. The family would like to thank Dr. Drew Simmons, Dr. Rendi, Dr. Frampton, Dr. McGuire, Dr. Camron, and Dr. Gurley, for all of their care.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Rupert Stake Center, located at 324 E. 18th Street, in Rupert, with Bishop Boyd Bingham of the Rupert 7th Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Rupert Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hansen Mortuary of Rupert.

My heart is heavy as I say goodbye to my dear friend, Travis Teeples.
I had the privilege of growing up with Travis. He wasn’t just a friend, he was a neighbor, and so many of my childhood memories include him. It’s hard to put into words the sadness that comes with knowing he’s gone.
My heart aches for his family during this unimaginable time. I hope they find comfort in the love that surrounds them and in the countless lives Travis touched along the way.
While we mourn his absence, I take comfort in believing that he is finally at peace.
Rest easy, my friend. You’ll always be remembered, and you’ll never be forgotten.
From Marilyn :
Sindy, Roger I am so heart broken
