Dorothy Lorraine Schleif Rogers - Rupert, Idaho

Dorothy Lorraine Schleif Rogers was born on August 3, 1930 in Hebron, Nebraska to Ed & Minnie Schleif. The family moved to Portland, Oregon when she was twelve years old. After her graduation in 1947, she moved to Rupert, Idaho and lived with Adam & Arlene Lautenschlager. She met Wayne Rogers and they were married on January 2, 1948. On January 2, 2018, they were married for 70 years. They were blessed with six sons Rick (Linda), Lynn (Jodie), Dan (Joanne), Dave (Ronda), Ed (Joyce) and Tim (Mary); sixteen grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her Church family at Trinity Lutheran Church of Rupert of which she was a long time member. The family would like to also thank the staff of Highland Estates and Encompass Home Health and Hospice for their care of Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held at 11.00 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. at Hansen Mortuary Sunday, June 03, 2018 and for one hour prior to the services at the church. Services will conclude with burial in the Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
