Randy Leon Rose
Burley, Idaho- Randy Leon Rose, 65, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Cassia Regional Medical Center peacefully surrounded by his wife and children.
Randy was born at Nellis Airforce base in Las Vegas, Nevada on July 19, 1952 to Merlin and Norma Rose. A few years later, Randy was joined by his younger brother Dean. After his father was honorably discharged from the Airforce, he moved his family to Burley then later to Heyburn, Idaho. Randy graduated from Minico High School in 1971. He worked various jobs and was an avid softball player, bowler, fisherman, and hunter.
Randy married Peggy Marizza in 1976, and divorced in 1983. Later, he married and divorced Danette Taylor. Together, the two had one daughter; Emily Jean Rose and one son; Aaron Leon Rose. For Randy, the third time was a charm; on December 30, 1988 he married Esther Garcia. Esther had one daughter; Maria Refugio Garcia, prior to marriage that he took in as his own. In 1991, the couple welcomed their second son; Randy Sean Rose. In 1993, they were surprised with their last two children: Michael Darren Rose and Maquel Victoria Rose. He spent most of his free time fishing and camping with his family. Lake Cleveland was the couple’s favorite vacation spot; many cherished memories were made there.
He was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Leon Rose. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years Esther Rose, his mother Norma Jean Rose, his brother Merlin Dean (Kelly) Rose, and his children- Emily (Sam) Mills, Aaron (Brandy) Rose, Maria (Jacob) Fields, Randy Rose, Michael Rose, and Maquel Rose. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren- Jonathan Fields, Derek Fields, Jacob Fields II, Echoe Mills, Kyra Rose, Villie Mills, Natalie Raelynn, and Norma Jean Rose.
His family would like to say a special thank you to Marshall Morris, Dr. Kevin Owens, Dr. Gilbert Crane, Dr. Martha Buitrago, and Dr. Jared Price. We are indebted to the kind, compassionate staff at the Pocatello Wound Care Center; and Suzanne and the other nurses from Minidoka Home Health.
Funeral services will be held at Hansen Mortuary in Rupert, Idaho on Saturday, April 28th at 11:00am. There will be fellowship time 30 minutes prior to the service that everyone is welcome to attend.
