The world lost a special light with the passing of Shanna D. Cooper in Rupert, Idaho at the age of 78. She is now in a place of peace free from pain and sickness. Shanna was a strong and passionate mom, aunt, cousin, grandma, and friend. Arrangements under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
Born in Ogden, Utah, her life represented raising her children and grandson, overcoming life’s challenges, and her faith. Life was not easy, but she always found a way to make everything work.
She had a real talent for improving house landscapes and gardening. She loved to do needle work crafts and reading. She spent a lifetime teaching Biblical truths. Her book “Stand” published in 2019, was a call to action for Christians to dig deeper into scriptures, strengthen our faith, and prepare for interesting times ahead.
She is preceded by her late husband, Thomas Cooper. She is survived by her grandson, that she raised like a son, Joshua Moreland, her oldest daughter Tresha Moreland. Additionally, Larry Moreland, son and Kayla Moreland, daughter whose whereabouts are unknown. We’d prefer privacy during this time of grief.
In lieu of a memorial service and flowers we ask that you share warm sentiments here in the guest book. Or you can contact and send flowers to Joshua Moreland.
