Yolanda Moralez

Feb. 22, 1936 - Aug. 28, 2017

Date of Service: Sep. 2, 2017

Yolanda Ramirez Moralez was called home on August 28, 2017 at the age of 81. Mom was born on February 22, 1936 in Laredo, Texas. She was an only child born to Jesus and Juanita Ramirez. Her mother passed away when she was just one year old leaving her to be raised by her aunt and uncle, Simon and Sofia Ramirez. She was the oldest of 13 children in their household.
She met the love of her life Luis Moralez Jr. and they were married on March 18, 1956. Mom and dad had 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren whom they loved dearly. They settled in Idaho in the early 1960’s while raising their family. She began employment at Ore Ida/McCains in 1973 and retired in 2002.
She was knowledgeable about many topics and she never encountered a job she could not master. Mom had impeccable work ethic, a trait that continues with her children. Mom was loyal to her marriage, protective of her family and strong in her faith. Although dad’s death parted them in 2015, they are now reunited for eternity.
She is survived by her 5 children: Diane Scott, Tricia Waldron, Sandra Hunt, Luis Moralez III (Kelli) and Paul Moralez

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday September 2, 2017 at Mountain View Christian Center of Burley. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday September 1, 2017 at the Mortuary. Services will conclude with Burial in Rupert Cemetery under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
