Date of Service: Aug. 12, 2017

Dale Edward Leslie, 83, passed away August 6, 2017, with Clarice, his beloved wife of 59 years, by his side.

Dale was born in Montrose, Colorado on September 19, 1933 to Carl D. Sr. and Frances (Papke) Leslie.

Following graduation from Burley High School in 1951, he joined the Idaho National Guard and had various jobs in the Burley area. In January of 1955 he joined the United States Army in which he remained state side for his first year and was then stationed in Germany for the following two years. Upon his discharge in January 1958, he met the love of his life Clarice Mae Krieger and they were married a few months later on July 3. Together they shared many moving adventures living in Burley, Twin Falls and settling in Paul, Idaho.

Dale held several jobs in the Mini-Cassia area. His most rewarding being with the Minidoka County Sherriff’s office as the Court Marshall where he retired from after 18 years, with this position he valued his visits with young inmates hoping that his words might help them change their paths in life.

Dale was on the Board of Directors of the Minidoka Memorial Hospital for several years. He was a leader in the Boy Scouts and Job’s Daughters. But his true dedication was with the Masons and Eastern Star, which he made many longtime friends.
His love of the outdoors took him hunting, fishing, camping, and to his son’s cabin. He was the camp fire master and the partner you wanted for holey board and pinochle.

Dale is survived by his wife Clarice; three children: Lee (Janeil) Leslie of Albion, Codie (John) Lyons of Twin Falls, and Colette (Cordell) Pfeifer of Heyburn. Seven grandchildren: James (Stephanie), Brock (Becky), Caylee, Dakota, Ethan, Sierra and Dalton. Two great-grandchildren Kenzie and Brinlee, and one on the way. His sister Ione Gregory of Colville, WA, and brother Delbert Leslie of Boise. He is proceeded in death by his parents and two brothers: Carl Jr. and Kenneth Leslie. He also leaves behind his extended Krieger family who he dearly loved and cared for.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hansen Mortuary 710 6th Street Rupert, Idaho. Viewing for family and friends will be held from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at the mortuary and for one hour prior to the services. Services will conclude with burial in the Paul Cemetery 550 W 100 N Paul, Idaho. Services are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.

The family would like to thank Dr. Boehmer, Dr. Guercio and Minidoka Home Health for the wonderful care they gave Dale. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local Masonic Lodge or Eastern Star Chapter in Dale’s name 882 W 100 S Paul, ID 83347.
