“Gordy” Gordon Dee Vibbert, passed away peacefully July 9th 2017, at Portneuf Medical ICU surrounded by family.
He was born January 20th 1951 in Rupert to Raymond and Hanna Vibbert.
Gordy grew up working on the homestead with his brothers and sisters. Helping in the garden, feeding the livestock, cutting and stacking hay, and fall butchering with the family. He loved to picking on the nephews, the nieces, and the neighbor kids.
He lived and worked agriculture in Rupert and surrounding areas all his life. He drove 10 wheelers and semis, harvesting and storing spuds. Gordy received a 10 year service award twice while he worked at Magic Valley Foods. He retired from Magic Valley Foods and went on to do custom hay hauling and stacking for Tom Armstrong. Later on, Gordy bought his own stacker and was self employed for the last 5 years.
He loved hunting and fishing with family and friends. Gordy cherished homemade goodies like German Baroques, twisters, jelly, and plates of Christmas cookies.
He was everyone’s favorite “Uncle Gordy”. Devoted to family and friends.
His father Raymond, mother Hanna and Sister Patricia went on before him.
Hanging back to finish the chores, his brothers Jim Vibbert, Jerry (Kathy) Vibbert, Tom Vibbert and sister Susan Vibbert.
Daughters, Bridgette Jo, Amber (Loren) Walker, grandsons Dakota, Caleb, Tanner, granddaughter Sydney Walker.

Memorial gathering for friends and family will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday July 21, 2017 at Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
